Martin Appointed to Bipartisan Conservation Panel

HARRISBURG — Senator Scott Martin (R-13) was appointed this week to serve on the Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee.

The bipartisan panel is responsible for studying air and water pollution laws and enforcement and recommending needed changes to the General Assembly. The committee conducts studies, holds public hearings and looks for ways to solve environmental issues.

In recent years, the committee examined issues pertaining to electronic waste, forest management and Pennsylvania’s Heritage Areas. More information about the commission is available at http://jcc.legis.state.pa.us/.
