Public Input Requested in Chesapeake Bay Watershed Cleanup Efforts

HARRISBURG – Community residents in the Chesapeake Bay watershed are invited to offer input on pollution reduction measures at an event hosted by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) on June 5.

DEP will host the event from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm at the Radisson Hotel Harrisburg in Camp Hill. The event is free, but registration is required by May 24.

The input gathered during the meeting will help shape DEP’s efforts to reduce nitrogen, phosphorus and sediment levels in the watershed and meet federal pollution reduction mandates.

More information on current cleanup and pollution prevention measures is available at the DEP Chesapeake Bay Program Office website.
