Martin Responds to Union Group Protest

HARRISBURG – Senators Scott Martin (R-13) issued the following statement today regarding the protest at his district office this morning:

“I deeply respect the work of Pennsylvania’s nurses, but a special interest union group playing scare politics with healthcare is not something that is constructive in addressing healthcare issues.  I will continue to work with independent healthcare professionals and organizations like the PA State Nurses Association, who not only does not share this groups views on many of these issues, but who all say that one size fits all medicine is the wrong way to move forward in this age of innovation and technology.

“Improving quality healthcare for individuals, reigning in the costs of healthcare, protecting taxpayers and ensuring the sustainability of safety net programs for those who truly need it has been, and will always be, my focus.”
