Committee Plans to Explore Martin’s Pediatric Cancer Tax Credit Bill

HARRISBURG – The Senate Finance Committee will gather expert testimony on Wednesday regarding a bill introduced by Senator Scott Martin (R-13) to create a tax credit program to support pediatric cancer research.

Senate Bill 74 could help generate up to $100 million in private funding for Pennsylvania’s pediatric cancer research hospitals. Testifiers at the hearing will include:

  • Lisa McGregor, Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
  • Elizabeth Fox, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
  • Matt and Sandy McHugh, Founding Hope.
  • Noelle Weinhold.

The hearing will be held following a voting meeting of the committee on Wednesday, September 25 at 9:30 a.m. in Room 8 E-A of the Pennsylvania Capitol Building in Harrisburg.
