HARRISBURG – In addition to serving as Chair of the Senate Education Committee, Senator Scott Martin (R-13) has been appointed to serve on several other key panels that will consider bills of interest to local communities.
Most importantly, Martin will continue to serve as a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, which plays a critical role in crafting the state budget and reviewing all legislation to determine the fiscal impact these proposals will have on state government programs and taxpayers.
In addition, he will serve on the following committees during the 2021-22 Legislative Session:
- Environmental Resources and Energy.
- Health and Human Services.
- Judiciary
“These committee appointments will give our region a strong voice on some of the most important issues the General Assembly will consider over the next two years,” Martin said. “I look forward to working with my colleagues on all of these committees to advance legislation that will improve our quality of life, both locally in Lancaster County and throughout the state.”
